It was a cold, gray day by the pond. The three little ducks had not eaten since morning.

「お腹が空いたよ！でも食べ物がないんだ。バブルス、何か持ってる？」ガガが言いました。

"I only have one carrot. That is not enough for all of us," says Bubbles.
「人参が一本しかありません。これでは私たち全員には足りません」とBubblesは言いました。

Everyone had only a little bit of food. Not enough for a meal. But Loopy had an idea.
誰もがほんの少しの食べ物しか持っていませんでした。一食分には足りません。でも、ルーピーにいい考えがありました。

"I know! I will make pond soup! All I need is a big pot, some water, and... this stone!" says Loopy.

Loopy put the pot over a small fire. The water began to bubble. Bubble, bubble, bubble.
