One chilly morning, Loopy went for a walk near the pond.

He wanted to find some berries for breakfast.

But Loopy walked too far.

He turned left, then right, then left again.

Soon, he was lost.

"Oh no. I do not know this place. Where is the pond?" says Loopy.

Then Loopy saw a little house between the trees.

It was round, like a big nest, and it looked very warm inside.

Loopy knocked on the door. Knock, knock, knock.

But nobody answered.

The door was open, so Loopy walked inside.

On the table, there were three bowls of porridge.

A big bowl, a medium bowl, and a small bowl.

"I am so hungry. Maybe I can try a little bit," says Loopy.

Loopy tried the big bowl first. He took one spoonful.

"Ouch! This porridge is too hot!" says Loopy.

Then Loopy tried the medium bowl.

"Brrr! This porridge is too cold!" says Loopy.

Finally, Loopy tried the small bowl.

"Mmm! This porridge is not too hot and not too cold. It is just right!" says Loopy.

And Loopy ate it all up. Every last spoonful.

After eating, Loopy felt tired. He saw three chairs by the fireplace.

Loopy sat in the big chair first.

"This chair is too big! My feet cannot touch the ground," says Loopy.

Then he sat in the medium chair.

"This chair is too hard! It hurts my bottom," says Loopy.

Finally, he sat in the small chair.

"This chair is not too big and not too hard. It is just right!" says Loopy.

But then — crack! The little chair broke into pieces! Loopy fell on the floor.

"Oh no! I am so sorry!" says Loopy.

Loopy was very sleepy now.

He went upstairs and found three beds — three soft nests made of feathers and leaves.

He lay down in the big nest first.

"This bed is too high! I feel like I will fall off," says Loopy.

Then he tried the medium nest.

"This bed is too lumpy! There are sticks poking my back," says Loopy.

Finally, Loopy tried the small nest. It had a soft blanket and a tiny pillow.

"This bed is not too high and not too lumpy. It is just right," says Loopy.

And in no time at all, Loopy fell fast asleep. Zzzzz.
