The Pancake Man ran and ran until he reached a wide river.

Pancake Man跑了又跑，直到他來到一條寬闊的河流。

He stopped at the edge. He could not swim.

他在邊緣停了下來。他不會游泳。

"Oh no! A river! I cannot swim. If I get wet, I will fall apart!" says Pancake Man.

「喔不！是一條河！我不會游泳。如果我弄濕了，我就會散掉！」Pancake Man說道。

Just then, a familiar voice came from behind a bush.

就在那時，一個熟悉的聲音從灌木叢後面傳來。

"Good morning, little pancake. Do you need help crossing the river? I can carry you on my nose," says Mr. Red.

「早安，小煎餅。你需要幫忙過河嗎？我可以把你放在我的鼻子上載你過去，」Mr. Red說。

"Really? You will not eat me?" asks Pancake Man.

「真的嗎？你不會吃掉我嗎？」Pancake Man問道。

"Eat you? Oh no, no, no. I do not like pancakes. I prefer fish. Now, jump on my nose!" says Mr. Red.

「吃掉你？喔不，不，不。我不喜歡煎餅。我比較喜歡魚。現在，跳到我的鼻子上吧！」Mr. Red說道。

The Pancake Man jumped onto Mr. Red's nose.

Pancake Man跳到了Mr. Red的鼻子上面。

Mr. Red walked into the river. The water got deeper and deeper.

Mr. Red走進河裡。水變得越來越深。

"The water is getting deep. Climb higher, little pancake — onto my head!" says Mr. Red.

「水越來越深了。爬高一點，小煎餅——到我的頭上！」Mr. Red說道。

The Pancake Man climbed onto Mr. Red's head.

Pancake Man爬到了Mr. Red的頭上。

Then — snap! Mr. Red opened his mouth wide and tossed the pancake into the air!

接著——啪一聲！Mr. Red張大嘴巴，把煎餅拋向空中！

But just at that moment, the three little ducks arrived at the river!

但就在那個時刻，三隻小鴨到達了河邊！

"Quick! Jump into the water! Ducks can swim, but foxes cannot!" says Loopy.

「快！跳進水裡！鴨子會游泳，但狐狸不會！」Loopy 說道。

Loopy swam fast and caught the Pancake Man before he hit the water.

Loopy 游得很快，並在Pancake Man掉進水裡之前抓住了他。

He put the pancake safely on his head and swam to the other side.

他安全地將煎餅放在頭上，並游到了另一邊。

"No! My breakfast!" says Mr. Red.

「不！我的早餐！」Mr. Red說道。

"You... you saved me! Thank you, Loopy!" says Pancake Man.

「你……你救了我！謝謝你，Loopy！」Pancake Man說道。

Back at the pond, the Pancake Man sat with the three little ducks.

回到池塘邊，Pancake Man與三隻小鴨坐在一起。

"I am sorry I ran away. I was scared you would eat me," says Pancake Man.

「我很抱歉我跑掉了。我當時很害怕你們會吃掉我，」Pancake Man說道。

"That is okay. You were very brave to run so fast. But running away from friends is not the answer," says Loopy.

「沒關係。你跑得那麼快，真的很勇敢。但逃避朋友並不是解決辦法，」Loopy 說道。

"Loopy is right. And next time, I will bake enough pancakes for everyone — including you, Mr. Pancake!" says Mother Duck.

「Loopy 是對的。下一次，我會烤足夠的鬆餅給每個人——包括你，鬆餅先生！」鴨媽媽說道。

And so they all shared the pancakes together.

於是，他們大家一起分享了鬆餅。

Even the Pancake Man had a tiny bite — of a different pancake, of course.

甚至連Pancake Man都咬了一小口——當然，是另一塊不一樣的鬆餅。
