"Mama! We saw them! It was fireflies! They came in and made all the scarves and hats!" says Loopy.

"Fireflies? They helped me? Oh, how kind! I want to say thank you to them!" says Mother Duck.

"But how? They only come at night!" asks Bubbles.

"I know! I will make tiny scarves for them. Beautiful tiny scarves that glow in the dark! We will leave them on the table tonight," says Mother Duck.

Mother Duck worked all afternoon.

She made ten tiny scarves.

Each one was soft and beautiful, with little threads that glowed in the dark.

That night, the tiny scarves waited on the table with a note: Thank you, dear fireflies.

At midnight, the fireflies flew in and saw them.

"Oh! Look! She made these for us! They are so beautiful and so tiny!" says Flicker.

The fireflies put on their tiny scarves.

They danced and spun in the air.

Their scarves glowed like little stars.

"Look at them! They love the scarves!" says Loopy.

"Thank you, little fireflies. Thank you for helping me. You are so kind," says Mother Duck.

"You are kind too! You made us these beautiful gifts. We helped you because you are always so nice to everyone at the pond," says Flicker.

"Mama, they helped you because you are kind! And you said thank you with a gift! That is so sweet!" says Bubbles.

"Mama, your shop is the best shop at the pond now! Everyone loves your scarves!" says Gaga.

"It is not just my shop. The fireflies helped me. We made everything together," says Mother Duck.

"Mama, why did the fireflies help you?" asks Loopy.

"Because kindness comes back to you, Loopy. When you are kind to others, others are kind to you. And always remember to say thank you," says Mother Duck.

"Thank you, fireflies! Thank you, Mama! Thank you, everyone!" says Bubbles.

And every night, if you look carefully by the pond, you can see tiny golden lights wearing tiny scarves.
