Rene Haas, the chief executive of Arm, could receive a compensation package worth over one billion dollars.

The chipmaker has proposed a special bonus plan that is tied to exceptional growth metrics.

If Haas can help the company reach a market value of one trillion dollars by 2029, he will receive a large share award.

Arm is listed on the New York stock exchange, but its global headquarters are still located in Cambridge, England.

Under the proposed plan, which is called a value creation plan, Haas would receive 425,000 shares.

However, this bonus depends on the company reaching specific market value targets by certain dates.

The company must reach 1.25 trillion dollars by 2030 and two trillion dollars by March 2031.

If all targets are met, this payout would be one of the largest ever awarded by a British company.

Haas joined Arm in 2013 and was promoted to the position of chief executive in 2022.
