Stormzy to Produce Biopic About Football Legend Ian Wright

British rapper Stormzy has announced that he will produce a biopic about former football star Ian Wright.

The film is currently in development with Stormzy's production company, Merky Films.

Wright played for Crystal Palace, Arsenal, and England during his successful career.

He later became Arsenal's highest ever goalscorer before Thierry Henry broke his record.

The biopic will be written and directed by filmmaker Tom Wilton, who grew up on the same housing estate as Wright in Brockley, London.

Wright came to professional football quite late because he did not make his debut for Crystal Palace until 1985, when he was already 22 years old.

He quickly became a prolific goalscorer and scored two goals in the 1990 FA Cup final.

Wright moved to Arsenal in 1991, where he became a club favourite for his incredible goalscoring ability.

He also scored nine goals in 33 appearances for England.

After he retired from playing in 2000, Wright moved into television work.

He has appeared as a football pundit and has hosted several TV shows.

The filmmakers said that Wright's story is deeply moving and full of determination and triumph.

They explained that the story of a Black British boy born to Caribbean immigrant parents is still relevant today.

Wright himself has said that the film has some hard-hitting moments, but he wants it to inspire people and give them hope and joy.
