Why Men's Eating Habits Are a Problem for the Climate

Eating too much meat has been linked to serious health problems, including certain types of cancer.

Meat production is also responsible for about one eighth of all human-made climate pollution.

Despite these well-known risks, meat remains very popular on dinner plates around the world.

Research shows that men consume significantly more meat than women, which creates a major challenge for the climate crisis.

Lauren Camilleri is a social psychology researcher at Victoria University in Australia.
